This is Why I Sing was commissioned by Robert Simpson for his Houston Chamber Choir's 10th Anniversary Concert.
Symphonic Metamorphosis, my doctoral dissertation work, won the first Paul Cooper Prize in Composition at Rice University in 2006. This performance, by the Shepherd School of Music Symphony Orchestra, was conducted by Christian Marcelaru and guided by maestro Larry Rachleff.
Joie et Lumière is the first movement of three from Vespers at Sacré-Cœur, my string quartet based on the chant tunes sung at Sacré-Cœur in Paris each Sunday afternoon. This performance is by the FRICTION QUARTET with soprano Laura Arthur.
St. Francis Canticle or St. Francis Song was originally a part of the two-act music drama Searching for Spinoza. This performance is sung by tenor Lawrence Clayton. There is also a choral version.
